The Halkett Hoedown

A Community Street Party in Jersey every 2 years - see y'all in 2019

The Halkett Hoedown is a not for profit community event supported by private sponsors and The Parish of St Helier and raises money for Jersey Charities.

Historically we've supported Headway Jersey who provide essential support, information and services to people in Jersey who are affected by brain injury. Over the years we've donated well over £40,000 to Headway Jersey.

In 2017 we also started working with Brig Y Don Children's Charity & The British Heart Foundation Jersey Branch and some of their fundraising staff joined our event team to help plan the event. We also decided to try & continue our support of Headway Jersey whilst also looking to raise a little funding for MENCAP Jersey & Jersey Alzheimers Association & also made a donation to Acorn Industries . Although we had fantastic weather in 2017, the turn out was slightly down (perhaps some people went to the beach) - but we we're able to donate over £20,000.00 to our chosen charities anyway!

All things being equal, we'll see you again on Sunday August 25th 2019 (Subject To Bailiffs Permission)
